I love how powerful this thing is compared to the noise. Due to the amount of soldering smoke, its noise level is ideal. It's not quite right, but not as loud as my air conditioner in the next room. It gets louder if it's on rickety furniture, but I think that's ok. Heavy laboratory table. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the filter change. You will need to carefully remove the flat head screws that hold the bottom panel in place. Then release it by removing the fan blade cover on the back. Network wires are very neatly crimped. The screws holding the plate are very small and you have to be very careful not to tear them off. The green ground wire is securely attached to the fan frame. A loose wire will trigger your GFCI when an unlikely event occurs. If you don't like changing filters, you might want another device that slides in and out of the filter without screws, like this one. But for the price I am very satisfied.
