My miter saw has been through many uses and penalties. I didn't really think about looking for something like this as they were pretty close, but I found this in my day as a suggested add-on, bought it and now I wish I had it sooner. I can read it well. For more intensive use, maybe get a metal one. but it works fine for using 1 or 2 times a month. I've also found another use for it than just aligning right angles on a miter saw. I used mine to determine the angle of the horse shooting stick in combination with the spirit level. so many uses. Goodbye
