Review on Sony WIC400/L Wireless Behind-Neck In-Ear Headphones, Blue by Agata Klimczak ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall good, but expected more.

I have very mixed opinions about these headphones. Assembled with high quality, there are no backlashes and squeaks, the bow is quite flexible, 4 pairs of ear cushions of different sizes are included. The wires are quite thin and flimsy, they do not look reliable, they do not inspire confidence, it is quite possible that they will become stiff in the cold. I took them in not only for listening to music, but also for use as a headset. I was very pleased with the operating time without recharging: in a fairly active mode, I have enough for two days. But with the sound, not everything is so clear. In the music listening mode, the sound is quite good, the bass is audible, but without fanaticism, the sound is clear, no distortion is heard. But in the headset (talk) mode, everything is much worse. Initially, I connected the headphones to an old Xiaomi Redmi 3 and heard interference and extraneous noise during a conversation, clicks, crackles, grunts, etc. In addition, in the talk mode, the signal from the microphone is heard in the headphones, that is, if you are in a noisy place or touch the collar with the microphone with a collar, scarf, finger, etc., all this noise will be heard not only by the interlocutor, but also by you in speakers. After using it for about a week, I was already ready to go and make a return, but then I connected the headphones to Nokia 8. The noise and interference disappeared, the sound in the talk mode became clear. The signal from the microphone in the speakers has not gone away, but it has become much more pleasant to use. Another small minus was that the headphones do not warn in advance about a low battery charge, they are discharged to zero and cheerfully announce "Power off". But this is not so critical. Summarizing, I can say the following: if you are not embarrassed by thin wires and you choose headphones primarily for listening to music or watching videos, you can safely take them, but if you talk a lot on the phone and plan to actively use them as a headset, at least I advise you to test them with your smartphone, and then make a decision.

Pros
  • Operating time without recharging, sound when listening to music, connection using nfc.
Cons
  • Poor sound quality in headset mode, no low battery warning.
