Review on 🌞 WACOM Cintiq 16 DTK 1660 Screen Protector: Anti-Glare Matte Shield for Outdoor Use by Renae Lockwood

Protects screen from scratches - in exchange for smudges and pen wear

I bought these because I've used two non-matte versions (because they accumulate nasty scratches in one day of use and one month makes the screen unusable ) I decided I had to try something else. I will say this is easy to install, won't blister when installed correctly and really protects my Centiq from scratches WITHOUT scratching itself right away. It did the job well after using it for a few weeks. BUT. As mentioned by some other reviews, it blurs the screen quite a bit. I understand that using screen protectors can affect readability, but it's not just a small difference. It's quite an intense blur, and for an artist who's spent quite a bit of money on a professional machine, it seems like a deal-breaker tradeoff. I can barely read small text and struggle a bit with line accuracy, but it's basically like working without glasses when your vision is very poor. It is not worth. Had I known the screen would fog up I wouldn't have paid $30 for it. It also cuts feathers within a few days of use, but that's no surprise for a matte screen protector, so I won't beat the points. Therefore.

Pros
  • Screen Protectors
Cons
  • So far so good
