When I first got my Keurig I knew I was going to use my own coffee. I can't really afford to buy filled pods. The main difference I found between the pre-filled pods and my own filled pods was that there was a sediment in the ones I filled myself. When I took apart one of the pods I noticed that there was a paper filter inside so I was determined to find filters for myself.When I found these they worked great. No residue in my cup and there wasn't a taste of the paper filters either. I like that they have a lid on them unlike some other filter. The filters are bio-degradable and are removed easily. No tears.I highly recommend them and have to some of my friends who also have a Keurig.
