Review on Metabo DSD 250 10 Inch Grinder by Brandon Gaines

In my 40 years as an engineer for a major equipment manufacturer I have used several sanders. Much of my experience has come from Baldor's excellent line of 10" or 12" industrial sanders Collected. Other grinders lacked the power for heavy grinding or the precision for sharpening thin tools, or both. I really didn't want to spend $2,000 on Baldor so I decided to try Metabo. Delivered on time, in a sturdy double box. Assembly was easy , everything fitted perfectly. I put a coin on the round motor case and started the motor. The coin didn't move and I didn't have to balance the wheels. The 1800 rpm speed is ideal for sharpening thin tools and fast enough for heavy grinding This is a great tool and a great price.
