High quality but very brittle and works best in a temperature controlled environment
High quality hydrometer kit, I use this to check the cask strength of my home aged bourbons and adjust them for proper bottling. It is very important to be very careful with this and to slowly release the measuring "pear" in the liquid-filled test tube so that the pear does not hit the bottom of the tube, which can easily break the pear. Also, note that you must first know the ambient air temperature and liquid temperature, and use the provided "fitting table" to get an accurate proof definition. Different temperatures affect the measurement accuracy. A very useful tool for the home brewer or distiller.
