I hate those crappy pet store collars (horrible quality for a not very cheap price). I bought these for my kitty sisters and I love them! My first set lasted a full year and I only recently bought a second set because one of the flowers on one of them was chewed by an angry kitten on the corner. I had to cut off the bell as the same cat didn't like the sound (and why the flower was chewed for a week trying to remove the collar). Ever since we had kittens (6 weeks old) they have always had bells but for some reason this bell was too big for them. I didn't notice any stretched threads or breaks in the seams of the collar. Flowers are amazingly long-lived. The collar is easily adjustable as the kittens grow. I found the quick release buckle difficult to undo, so I usually just put the collar on their heads (untying the collar or trying to close it drives them crazy). My husband and children actually refer to cats by the color of their collars - instead of opal or pearl, they are "pink cat" or "blue cat". Poor cats think they have 2 names.
