Take it, visual-perceptual disability!

I am studying and attending a math course this semester which includes manual Gauss-Jordan reduction and generally trying to store many numbers and variables directly under a number of conditions. Normal graph paper helps here, but quickly becomes unwieldy with large fractions. I soon decided that one big rule would help a lot. After quite an exhausting search (I even left my house and went to an actual store!) I bought a pack of School Smart Cross Line Drawing Paper in 1/2 inch rulers. The paper arrived quickly (actually much quicker than I expected as it wasn't a main order) and I used it straight away. I still use it and it still helps. It's not some magic paper that will fix my low vision or lack of working memory. Copying assignments from a computer screen onto paper, from a book onto paper, or from a whiteboard onto paper is still a nightmare for me. However, I don't expect this or any other paper to magically correct my neurological impairment. This paper *does* the same thing as regular graph paper, only bigger. This allows me to write larger numbers and space them more widely, while also offering both vertical and horizontal guides to keep things organized, which is very helpful when it comes to checking for copy errors. I've gone from 0% to maybe 50% on "catch" copy errors - and for me 50% is really good. I still force my significant other to double-check my work when I get wrong answers and can't figure out why (whatever, always throws an undetected copy error), but I don't have to. almost as often as now. I was a bit skeptical at first that the paper is only lined on one side, but I've since found that I prefer to use the reverse side of the paper for certain tasks. The rule is visible, but much more subtle and sometimes practical. It's nice to be able to use both a really bold rule and a very subtle rule. Two other unexpected features: This paper is really meant for drawing, so it's quite heavy and has a little more "teeth" than yours. medium millimeter. Both make my work easier. If you, someone you care about, or a child in your life is struggling with either a visual impairment or some other learning disability, this document is worth trying. It won't "cure" you or your loved ones, but it will make a great addition to your arsenal of survival gear.
