Review on Lenovo Legion Y25 25 24 5 Inch Monitor 24.5", 1920X1080P, 240Hz, Low Blue Light, USB Hub, ‎66AAGAC6US, HD by Charlie Fabijan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good monitor at a competitive price

This monitor features: 240Hz screen, 1080p (FHD), 1ms response time, 400 nits brightness, Gsync/Freesync compatible with Gsync) HDRIPS panel, 1000:1 contrast ratio, covers 99% of the sRGB spectrum , VESA compatible. Connections: 1 HDMI 2.0, 1 DisplayPort 2.1, audio out (3.5 mm), 4 USB 3.2 (2 of which can charge devices). The mount that comes with it is very good in terms of build quality (durable heavy metals are used) and functionality in terms of the way you can set it up. Colors are great, brightness is good and images are sharp. You don't need to set up the monitor too much when it's ready to use right out of the box. The OSD offers customizable options for game modes like FPS, Racing, RTS and other custom modes. Navigating the OSD is easy once you're comfortable with the purpose of each button, and you'll need to log in to enable features like HDR, USB charging, and so on. Be sure to go to the display adapter properties in Windows and click on Monitor. tab and set the refresh rate to 240Hz as it defaults to 60Hz. It's also nice to see how big the difference is between a 60Hz panel and a 240Hz panel. My last monitor ran at 144Hz, so I'm used to that, and while the jump from 144 to 240 isn't as big as it is from 60, there's still a noticeable difference in smoothness compared to a 144Hz panel. The design of the monitor itself is sleek and slim, with thin bezels that make it easy to place next to other monitors. Mounting with a (flat) VESA mount was also easy and involved 4 screws. When installing, please use the screws provided, as the others may be too long and may damage the monitor. Some people might think that 24.5 inches is too small, but for gamers who want a 24.5 inch monitor, it's perfect for moving their eyes. All in all, this is a great monitor for gaming. It's amazingly slim, has great colors, performs well, has a solid stand and is competitively priced.
