Bought for my daughter as we have had an unusual amount of rain this year. Even her waterproof jacket didn't keep her dry anymore. I chose the polka dot pattern because I didn't want it to be limited to a childish theme or color. She's almost 9 and I've noticed that kids at school have started commenting on other kids' clothing styles, like Disney themes. I also ordered a size up so she will have it next year as she seems to be going through a growth spurt. In general, the jacket suited us.
