Review on Superior Performance: ASUS USB-AC68 AC1900 Dual-Band USB 3.0 WiFi Adapter with Cradle by Chad Young

GOOD: Good workmanship and elegant design. More importantly, its MIMO capabilities combined with excellent reception increased my download speed 10x from 28Mbps to 268Mbps. (My router is an ASUS RT-AC88U and is on a different level of the house.) BAD: Documentation contradicts itself: * The quick start guide recommends plugging in the device and then installing the drivers. * A sticker on the device tells you otherwise and that you need to install the driver before plugging in the device. DANGEROUS: I originally connected a device and Windows 10 recognized it. I didn't use the installation CD that came with it, I downloaded the installer from the support site. After I installed the driver that came with it, I started having issues with the device disconnecting or reporting no internet connection. I thought it was operator error due to confusing documentation and uninstall/reboot/reinstall. Same problem. Deleted again and the problems disappeared. I recommend this device, but I urge users not to install the drivers that come with it - your operating system probably already has newer versions installed.
