I would only recommend this grinder as a grinder. The filling nozzle is too big for a standard casing and requires FOREVER refills even when trying to fill. I will buy a separate filler, it took almost 2 hours to stuff 10lbs. Also, make sure you clean the base block that houses the motor. There is some packaging fat that oozes out on the first few pounds of meat. I would recommend passing 5 to 10 pounds of meat through to clean the block and the plates are made from metal shavings.
