Very cheap and very thin copper plating. But for $7, it's actually not that bad. I saw people complaining that it was impossible to solder, well no, and the solder flowed down the wire almost immediately. Maybe they got a bad batch, or they're using too high a temperature, or they just don't know what they're doing, but the 2 coils I got are fine. I would never use this cable for anything that requires high voltage or high current, most likely I will use it for some of my test jigs that always have broken wires no matter the quality. The resistance of any 50 foot coil is half, and as for insulation, time will tell.
