I've only been using it for a week but I like it so far. It's light but feels solid - I just leave it in front of my golf cart and it hasn't taken any damage yet. It also works fast; You just hold down the power button and get a reading in about a second. The tilt adjustment mode displays two metrics: horizontal distance and tilt corrected distance. To calculate this corrected distance, the device draws a parabola ending in a pin and displays the distance at the intersection of that parabola and an imaginary straight, flat line extending forward from the device's location. Of course, this calculation is only accurate if your ball's launch angle matches the angle used in the parabola calculation, and I couldn't find any literature on what launch angles the device uses at different distances. In practice, however, I have not noticed any problems. Every time I was skeptical about the corrected distance, I hit the corrected yardage and each time it turned out to be correct. My favorite aspect of this rangefinder is that the scan mode works even with tilt detection enabled. Press the power button once to get a reading, or press and hold the power button and the reading displayed is the shortest distance found during the scan. This is a no-frills device. There are only two buttons, so sometimes you'll need to look up how to do certain things (tip: hold down the mode button to switch between meters and yards). It doesn't have a "pin finder" function, so you'll have to rely on the previously mentioned scan function. Also, I noticed that even though the lens has a focus knob, the image on the screen is only sharp in a narrow focus range, so adjusting the focus is pretty pointless. When I bought this I was looking for a cheap tilt adjustable rangefinder and it didn't disappoint.
