Review on 🚲 B&W International Bike Case: The Ultimate Solution for Safe and Hassle-free Bicycle Transportation by John May

Very sturdy and stylish box that's easy to move

The case looks very nice and seems pretty sturdy. I took my bike on a flight from the US to China and had no problems. My road bike easily fit in a case and was very well protected. I used to use cardboard bike boxes to transport my bike, but it was always almost impossible to manage the box and luggage. On this ride, I was able to easily fold the bag with one hand and pull the bike cover with the other, which was nice. I had no problems moving the suitcase. After the trip, there are no signs of wear on the suitcase. It has no scratches and looks just as sturdy. The only issue I have is that TSA (since they only hire the best of the best) couldn't figure out how to reassemble the box after checking out. While the body's overlapping style makes it very durable, it can be difficult to assemble properly. Also, the large luggage strap is VERY strong, but it takes more than a second to figure out the mechanism. Of course the slightly complicated mechanism was too much for TSA and when I got my box back it was unfortunately taped together :(. This wasn't a B&W bikebox issue though, it was more like TSA. . Even taped it together, my bike arrived at its destination safe and sound and the TSA has not done any permanent damage to the box in the future.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • A few little things
