Review on OP TECH USA Work Mat by Jordan Weakland

I bought this to use as an electronics repair mat. I often repair laptops/TVs/etc. and needed a soft pad so I wouldn't scratch the cases or whatever when I move them around. They're great for that. The surface consists mainly of small foam bubbles, which are very soft and non-slip. The added benefit of this is that it's very easy to keep all the screws and such in one place without the risk of it accidentally rolling off somewhere. It also stops screws from bouncing off somewhere if you drop them, and has reduced the number of screws that are "permanently lost under the workbench" to *nearly* zero. I love him for that. I ended up buying a total of four of these for the whole store and they're now a popular fixture for our desktops. The only reason I put the star on them is because they seem a bit fragile. I once had standard duct tape stuck to my rug and it is impossible to remove the duct tape without damaging the rug. The foam is very weak when stretched this way. I'm worried about durability but I think it will be ok once I'm aware of it and stop taping it up. I can safely place a super-heavy 50" TV on it, and while it leaves a dent in the mat where the base presses against it, the mat recovers in seconds when you remove the weight. As such, he seems vulnerable to a very specific type of damage that should hopefully be easy to avoid.
