Not quite top notch - some obvious issues

This is the monitor to buy if you want a big curved gaming monitor but don't want to pay for a big brand. If you buy this you are taking a risk. Right now you can't just google a name and find a support site. It's really an unnamed brand. I'll start with the bad - this monitor isn't as reliable as the high-end monitors it's trying to compete with. It weighs less, is made of thinner plastic, and some parts that should be metal on a monitor of this size are plastic. The performance is just terrible. The white lines fade to red, green, and blue unless you look straight ahead. Viewing angles are really bad. It's just not suitable as a gaming monitor. This is normal for general use. The lid on the back is held so loosely that you probably won't be able to use it unless it's about to drop. However, if you have hard wires, pulling them out may be enough. You can install it. I was concerned when I first saw this because I didn't see any mention of it. There are four screw holes that match the standard bracket. The legs of the base are made of solid metal and do not slip. The base it connects to is plastic but seems pretty solid. The controls are in a good place. I've seen better ones, but at least you can get there with little effort. There is a dead pixel. This is not surprising for a monitor of this quality. This is an entry-level gaming monitor. I'd recommend spending a little more for better quality, but if it fits your budget and you really need a huge curved monitor, then fine.
