Based on my experience with my grandmother's small version of my grandmother's drip coffee pot, this large teapot does not have a deep enough compartment for coffee grounds and the top and bottom of the pot don't mate well. They need to be carefully maneuvered to be properly aligned as they should slide into each other easily, which they don't. If you don't connect them properly when brewing coffee, you can easily burn yourself! Coffee taste is marginal. So I am not satisfied with this purchase.
