These socks are great. Do I want them to be a little crooked? Yes. This is my favorite attribute of socks. They could be a little softer and a little plush, but they're still great. The thick elastic at the ankles keeps the socks in place, they won't fall off at all when you wear them, and at the same time they're not so tight that they interfere with blood circulation after a long day. They're not super thick, hence the lack of plush, but they're also not thin enough to really go crazy over. I think they are good to wear around the house on cool days and go well with boots. However, I agree if you're looking for thick winter socks in fantastically cold climates, this may not be for you. If you're ok with them being lighter/thinner (but not intimidatingly thin) and need some color I say go for it, they're great. Not perfect, but great. I needed socks to keep me from running out of days between washes and that helped. I love the colors, they hold their shape and don't fall off my feet like some other socks.
