Review on DeLonghi EC155M Espresso Machine Cappuccino by Nate Mims

If you are looking for a restaurant quality espresso maker for a skilled barista, you are in the wrong place and will have to spend a lot more money. This machine is ideal for everyday coffee enjoyment. I was a bit hesitant after reading some low rated reviews, but after doing a lot of research on several websites I decided that this machine has the most positive reviews for any home espresso machine in this price range. The filter holder is a little tricky to attach if you put in too much ground coffee, just make sure you use a spoon or pusher to press the ground coffee down firmly. It doesn't have an auto shut off, you have to turn it off when it's brewing as much as you want. It vibrates while the espresso is poured, so you have to hold the cup tight. It only fits espresso/cappuccino cups, which seemed to be an issue for some customers but made sense to me (I can accommodate my favorite tea cups that are wider than they are tall). I read several reviews that the coffee isn't strong enough (maybe that was the brand they bought?). I didn't have this problem, the espresso is very rich and flavorful and I tried three different types of beans. Only a smaller frothing pot will fit under the steam wand unless you place it on the edge of the counter to accommodate something larger. Overall I am very happy with the purchase of this machine and enjoy it every day, sometimes several times a day, since I received it.
