These are found on many of our running 15-20kW generators. They regulate their temperature well. As far as I know, out of 10 systems in operation, we only have 1 failure in 3 years (element burnout). When the engine overheated, this node proved to be the weakest link. Because this unit is installed at the lowest point in the cooling system, it means that the coolant is sprayed all over the floor. This unit has an output of 1500W (maximum available from one outlet) and will keep the engine warm over a wide range of ambient temperatures. Note that only as much current is used as is necessary to keep the engine warm.
