I ordered this set and expected it to be 50/50 based on some reviews. You arrived today; two days earlier. I quickly found a small screwdriver and started unscrewing the back cover. After loosening the two screws, gently pull the cover up and twist it slightly to open it. There is rubber so the lid sticks a little when twisting and lifting. The batteries went right in (most items that require batteries require you to put them in. I don't know why some people don't understand this. I put the lid back on and retightened, which should be done carefully to avoid tearing the Plastic The lid only opens one way so make sure you orient it correctly Conclusion: I think they are good value for money and they seem well constructed I would recommend them to anyone.
