Not a bad tool, not great for field use, but user friendly

User interface: Easy to navigate once you remember which key is what. There's no optical zoom, only digital, so enlarged images will be pixelated compared to normal, and that's normal. The camera records both videos and photos and can be used in daylight, which is an unexpected plus. IR has multiple intensity levels. However, I've found the highest modes to be a bit toasty, and unless you're working in an environment with little IR reflection, the lowest setting is usually sufficient. property without problems. Battery Life: Not too good for alkaline batteries, plus they leak. It lasted 3 hours of intermittent use with Energizer lithium batteries for now, so I think I'll be using it from now on. Feels good in the hand, but you can feel it. like something I don't want to get wet. What annoys me the most is that the screen cannot be dimmed. I live in a place where my eyes adjust to seeing the Milky Way in twenty minutes. In such conditions, the screen is just too bright. I have to wear sunglasses to use the device. There must be a function in the menu to dim the screen backlight, but I couldn't find it. Apart from that and the inability to mount it on a normal 1/4-20 camera tripod, I am satisfied and recommend it.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
