First I received a discount code from the manufacturer to buy this product after I bought the original roll. Pros: Cheap after discount. The color is a really nice deep orange. I wouldn't call it red, but it's a nice shade of orange. I haven't had any major problems with this thread. The sellers have received information about the use of the thread via email. If you're new to 3D printing and haven't read anything online about build plate temperature and/or adhesion, this might help. Sellers also send discount codes for future purchases of this thread (see number and content of other emails). The adhesion of the layer and the bed is ok. I had some problems with the deformation. The thread prefers a higher build plate temperature (e.g. 70Β°C) for the first layer so that everything adheres well. The blue ribbon also helps. According to the manufacturer, the role is partly made of straw and may be environmentally friendly. Cons: The company sends too many emails to get positive reviews and seller ratings. An unsolicited email attempted to explain why they decided to increase their filament prices from $15 to $20. Their justification was mainly that other manufacturers charge so much. While it was nice that they also provided a discount code for future purchases, I'm not sure I'll be buying more after running out of this batch. I wouldn't necessarily compare this thread to others in the $20 price range. , but it works fine for less than $15 filament. In my opinion there are much better options in the $15-$20 range. Some reviewers expressed concerns about the reel's appearance. I like the fact that it appears to be made from renewable materials. However, there are no cutouts on the side to see how much thread is left. Also, the spool is not very stiff and some spools are wavy/curved. The center spindle "hole" isn't exactly round and seems to capture every 90Β° or so. I switched to a dispenser where the surface rolls on bearings, which softens the situation a bit. However, the sides of the coils are also deformed. One of the rolls I buy is deformed more than the width of the dispenser bearings causing it to catch on the rim of the dispenser. No adjustment seems to fix this. Overall the price was fair (discount on purchase) but I probably won't buy this brand again. Letters from the seller were mostly repulsive.
