First, I'm not using the default settings, so I can't comment on them. It has a very impressive array of customization options that can be saved to a file or even an installer script. If you need a lot of "softβ control, you can get it with this router. The hardware design and features are the best I've ever worked with. Built-in dual/failsafe power supplies. Possibility of remote powering from two different built-in options! Backup (emergency) fans (although I've never noticed my fans running or the unit getting hot). Being a home user I don't have a stand, so I buy, build or repurpose something as a stand so I can run ethernet cables underneath instead of on top. With a device that gives the technical user access to many features, it is not possible to describe the available performance correctly in a few sentences. I would definitely buy it again and am now considering MikroTik for other networking products.
