Bought this for use as a stick clip. Sometimes it's finicky when screwing/unscrewing to extend, but nothing too bad. It doesn't feel super sturdy, but it hasn't broken on me yet, and I'm not easy on it. It's a little clumsy upon full extension, but there are shorter poles that are still worse. The reason I bought this one is that it goes from 5ft to 16ft, which is the best available range. 6ft is hard to hike with, and most 5ft poles only go to 14/15 feet. At areas where the first bolt is like 15ft up or higher, this length is a must, and many people try to lug around a 6ft pole, but with this it's much nicer, and also fits inside my 2door jeep.
