I prefer the wood grate cleaners/scrapers for my Traeger to the wire brushes, if only for safety reasons. I try not to eat any bits of metal in my food, pierce my mouth, or slit my throat. The horror story is over. Good product. Trees have developed after the first use and are characterized by their longevity. I apply enough pressure, similar to brushing my teeth. Not too soft so as not to clean everything, but not too hard so as not to spoil everything. I've had it for about 3 months now, I use it several times a week and it's in great condition! Highly recommended.
