Ghost Booth

What a wonderful book! Written in 1961 for children aged 9 to 12, I bought the book for my grandson after reading the author's fascinating obituary. Parents don't normally read to their children at this age, but I think this book should be read in tandem. It expands the vocabulary and lets the imagination run wild. But the culture of cartoons, game consoles and all other tablet games has discouraged children from reading for pleasure. I think it would be difficult for a child to read alone unless they are a highly motivated reader. Accompanying Mr. Yuster's novel are the wonderful illustrations by Jules Feiffer, in which you can see that the watchdog is a talking dog with a watch case. The adventures of Milo and Tok the guard dog are full of puns and other delights, taking them on many adventures to places like Conclusio Island, which can only be reached by jumping. I highly recommend it. at least be ready. It is not easy to leaf through the book. Make an effort and you will be rewarded
