Ideal for the next 10 years
My new house had 4 crappy fire and carbon monoxide alarms that ran on 2 AA batteries. I didn't plan on changing the batteries every year so I bought 4 of these 10 year lithium batteries. Easy setup and installation and no problems for the next 10 years or so. Even if they last 7 years, don't change the batteries every year. The new house is kind of weird, the previous owners didn't plug in any sensors, just threw in some cheap AA batteries.
