Filters most grinds in my percolator (Presto) well. To get the best grind filter and for easier cleaning, I usually use Melitta filter coffee (filters 4-6 cups). Use a knife to cut a small "X" in the center of the drip filter and place it in the metal basket. Feed the percolator tube through the bottom of the basket and through the slit in the filter paper. Fill in the coffee grounds, fold over the edges of the paper filters, close the lid of the basket and off you go! This method works well for those who want to filter out more sediment and the cafestol compound for high cholesterol targets. Enjoy!
