Working well, overkill for 3D printing

I'm one of those people who is always ready and eager to try new tools. Although I have several digital calipers that work to their fullest extent, I actually didn't have a micrometer. While I understand that they are different tools with different purposes, I was curious to play around with one of them. dashes on the dial. The supplied small tool/wrench for calibration is a bit awkward to use at first, but is quite manageable. I also appreciate that they included a case to keep it with the instrument. I used it for my 3D printer to measure the parts I like to make. You should have pretty good accuracy when doing this, and I was curious if that kind of accuracy would make a difference. For my purposes this is not the case. My calipers are just easier and faster to use. My trusty, dusty caliper does most of what I need. Again, I am NOT a machinist. I have to say I prefer the digital screen to the string analysis. My dad was a mechanic growing up and he had micrometers that he used and they had dials. A bit pricey for me, but the price is reasonable. I seem to have made a mistake.
