The old O-Cedar mop head had a rim of twine loops surrounding an inner oval of soft plastic. If the yarn is spread wide, the plastic can scratch the surface where the dust is applied. Meet my new O-Cedar mop head with twine loops covering the entire surface! It works like a dream. Well, I guess the dream mop will collect dust on its own. :) This mop head is well worth the purchase price (about $12). Yes, it fits the mop's long "arms" that curve slightly downwards to allow you to put the mop head on or off. I put it through the washing machine a second time and it came out great again.
