Small according to instructions but not that difficult to understand. You have to completely disassemble it from the box and then reassemble it in a usable form. It has enough play to be an issue - the struts are even a bit tight as they can be - so it's important that you take the time to make sure the first two holes line up exactly at right angles . Once they are in place, secure the bracket into these holes (using the pins provided) and everything else will snap into place. Also recommend a practice hole to ensure you set the correct depth for the pins.
