These things are cheap Chinese junk and I fucking want to get my hands on something that was built for more than three months. This is the 5th I've had and the same thing happens every time: the metal pin that plugs into the socket on the back of the GPS detaches and falls out of the end of the power cord. I've come to the conclusion that it's either a major design issue or a chronic manufacturing flaw, and when I order them I order three at a time and keep a spare in the glove compartment (because god knows how long the battery in new Garmin GPS navigators will keep over years fully discharged). Although the cable still works, it charges properly before the plug falls apart and it's nice to have two USB ports on one charger. If I had the opportunity to buy a higher quality product I would, but it looks like this entire industry has been outsourced to a region with poor or no quality control.
