2 years went great. Then the camshaft position sensor in the distributor failed

Update May 18, 2021 Almost 2 years later the camshaft position sensor built into the distributor failed. Reading some of the other comments here, it seems like this is a general shortcoming of this mailing list. Received it yesterday and have driven the car about 50 miles since installing it. The car purred 15 minutes after delivery. In fact, it's working better now than it has in recent years. Honestly I didn't expect this to work given the price of the parts. I just hope it lasts. So far I have no complaints and felt comfortable enough to have my 16 year old son collect the car tonight. FYI - You need to know how to replace the distributor to keep it on time. You can't just put a new one in without knowing how to make sure the rotor is in the same position as the old one. This wasn't a problem for me, but I felt it necessary to point this out to those unfamiliar with timing (many YouTube videos will show you how). Scott W
