This is a fridge/freezer thermometer with an alarm function that will warn you when the temperature reaches the danger zone. It already saved $100 on groceries in the first week of use when the garage freezer was accidentally left open. (The reason we bought this item was due to similar bugs in the past and it actually works). We tried another brand (accurite) and found that it lost connection to the transmitters the further away it went. The Oria type has a very good range even through metal doors and on different floors of the house. It comes with two sensors that report the temperature to either two separate fridges or freezers, or one fridge and freezer. The display is placed where it is convenient to monitor temperature changes, and you can set the alarm function for your chosen upper and lower limits. We bought a second one for another family member's house.
