It's cheaper than a divorce lawyer

I bought a Garmin nuvi 65 LM GPS and a UK/Ireland map. .Never get lost with this card. This is a newer map with all roads new and old. I programmed a map with hundreds of wave points/favorites and all our B&Bs/hotels. I did this at home BEFORE we left for Ireland using the free Base Camp software available on the Garmin website and Google Maps to get the GPS coordinates for entry. I gave all points P001 and place names P002, P003. . . My wife had a paper itinerary of where and where we were going and for each location she added a Garmin P00X number so when we got to Ireland I asked where to go? She looks at the route and gives me the number, puts P00X into the Garmin and off we go. We did this for 3 weeks and we traveled all over the country and never got lost. This map once knew a country road and led us to some very remote places that my wife wanted to see. Aside from how I've used it, there are many built-in attractions that are included. One of the big ones is the CITY PARKING. You can select this feature when entering a big city and you will be directed to the parking lot! CAUSING OBLIGATION! Big cities are no place for an unarmed tourist to try out navigating without Garmin telling you every turn you make. same name you wrote down, all streets seem to have 3 or 4 names/numbers. I am also sure that all Garmin devices are different. But turn on the UTURN function, it will tell you missed a turn, it's easy to do. If you don't turn this feature on, Garmin will recalculate the new route (without telling you) and take you down very interesting roads. I think the golf cart is going to have a hard time on some of these roads. All in all we never get lost, you can always change the map to show you the bigger picture and your location. ALL the tourists we met who had the paper maps fought each other. They all agreed that they lost more than a few times. The streets are narrow depending on where you want to go. You are very rural road. It's cheaper to buy a vehicle and take it with you (with pre-programmed seats) than renting one from a car rental company. Enjoy Ireland Get a GPS and program it BEFORE you set off
