I bought another camera - one of those brands no one has heard of that seems to have grown like weeds after a storm due to a pandemic. It was, shall we say, unsatisfactory. Also, one of my main concerns was that the camera should have a physical cover. After finding this - a familiar brand at a price that didn't seem extortionate - I read the reviews and was concerned about compatibility, software etc, but figured it was a bank holiday weekend and I had time to order again before it gets out of control. I'm glad I took the risk. First, there's always a cover in the box - it was in a separate bag, but unlike most, it snaps straight into place; No glue or tape to ruin the lens. The camera integrated into my Mac Pro (Big Sur 11.1) with no fuss, and Zoom and Go To Meeting handled it really well before I even installed the Logitech Camera Settings app. The camera settings app for the C930e was bought from the Logitech website and gave me a few other options (hint: you should leave it open in case you need the settings during a Zoom call or whatever). I work in virtual conferences and found it funny that I don't have a webcam. Knowing I have a quality Zeiss lens and the build quality from a company I've been using for literally decades makes me feel good about buying this gray market product.
