I love this item except for one!

GSI 79500 Pepper Salt Shaker - Overall I really like this product. It's thick, hard plastic and looks solid. "Shaker" lids snap on/off for easy filling. not symmetrical - the salt compartment is 1.44 deep and holds about 2-3/4 teaspoons of table salt. The pepper compartment is .92 deep and holds approximately 1-1/2 teaspoons of finely ground pepper. Shaker holes are .078 diameter on both lids. CONS: The only thing I don't like as mentioned in other reviews is the leaking into the lids when closed. Inspection of lids and shaker lids will reveal the problem. The lid insert had a 0.015 inch "protrusion" on the inside. This provides a tight seal when tightened, but leaves a gap between the top of the shaker and the inner surface of the cap within the rib. DIY FIX: My solution was to find some self-adhesive about 0.015 thick to fill in the area inside the comb. Burr. It also had to be soft/compressible to maintain a tight seal when screwed in. The answer to this question was Gorilla brand tape (0.016 thick). I cut a 7/8 inch (.875) "slice" from the tape and place it inside the lid, being careful not to overlap the rib. The problem is solved! The fin still insulates the shaker from the elements and the 'disk' band covers the top of the shaker.
