Review on Lee's Bagged 13 1/2in H - 16in H Under Gravel Filter Uplift Assembly by Mike Sutton

My old risers are cloudy and the tops are blackened with algae and cracked from changing the carbon filter cartridges over time. Given the price, I figured I'd just replace them instead of hard cleaning. Unfortunately, the new risers will not fit Lee filter plates under gravel. Now the risers are in two pieces and I can take the second piece and fit it, but then the risers are only about 7 inches long for a 60 gallon tank. Unsuitable for use. When I tried to install the second part it turned out to be the same size as the hold in the filter plate and one of the tabs on the new riser broke immediately. Rather than return it, I decided to use the top part of the outlet, the part that holds the carbon filter cartridge, and just toss the hose. Then I had to spend a lot of time cleaning old pipes. They are still cloudy but look better. I'm not sure where to go to replace these tubes when the manufacturer's original replacement parts don't fit. Very disappointed.
