Review on 🚗 Toyota Matrix & Echo Trailer Wiring Harness - CURT 55522 Custom 4-Pin Vehicle-Side, Easy Installation by Scott Wallace

I bought this because another reviewer said it fits perfectly into their '06 matrix without having to cut or splice wires or use wire nuts. Well they were right! The installation instructions are a bit off the mark, but accurate enough to get the job done if you use common sense. I believe the instructions show the ground screw to screw into the wheel well or something, but if you follow the instructions and pictures you will end up with a screw sticking out of your car's body. No, I didn't know. don't do that :^) I looked into this first and found a better alternative. It's been a few weeks but I think I screwed in a piece of metal that won't damage the water and isn't visible in any way. Somewhere in the trunk next to the left bumper. You'll find out if you have a little patience and check where you're drilling! As long as you open the access panels and spare tire storage, you should be able to get everything working. It took me a little longer than expected because I'm crazy about double checking things, but realistically I could have done it the second time around in about 10 minutes. This includes removing all trim, removing the spare tire, installing the kit, and reinstalling everything. Overall very satisfied and works like clockwork. Now all I have to do is replace the trailer wiring!
