At first I was skeptical that this press has short sides. I thought a burger that thin would be impossible to break. Boy was I wrong. The burgers are perfectly smashed into a thin flatbread. I used a 1/4 pound 80/20 twisted hamburger and the patties came out perfectly round too. Break them until the sides touch the bars. In addition, the crusher is very durable and well built!
