The width of this tape is 0.148 inches as stated on the packaging, which is the full width of the tape. When used with my splicing block, the splicing tape should be .125" wide, as should the splicing tabs that come with the splicing block. To use this tape successfully, I had to place the strip on a cutting board and, while observing through a 2.5x magnifying glass, use a single-edged blade to cut off the extra 0.023 inch. aligned with the locked splice slot and lowered through the slot onto the tape.
