This is a great product. I've used the Airport Express before and it's been success or failure. Outside, 300 feet to garage. On the opposite wall of the garage [behind an outlet] is a Hawking HAW2R1 with network and Wi-Fi. Three important tuning elements: 1. The aim is important - point it in the right direction and then fine-tune the signal with small turns2. Switch to N only and 20MHz channel width for better range3. Disable the DHCP server - you connect the network, so in most cases it is not needed. I regularly get a signal strength of 78% and the lowest is 63% due to the weather. I was lucky enough to get 50's before installing Amped and usually in my 20's with uneven wiring. It should be noted that other reviewers have said that a firmware update resets everything - it doesn't. You just click on "Advanced Settings” and everything is still there. Overall 5 stars. cut even better!
