Honest review from a newbie

I was brand new to sewing when I bought this machine. It's very simple, both good and not so good. However, it is a safe choice for sewing beginners. This machine is great for learning basic sewing techniques. However, I've found that some stitch patterns have a tendency to fail (machine won't run or can't keep up with needle speed, etc.). Another problem, The problem I have is that the pedal is single speed and not pressure sensitive. You're pretty much stuck at a sewing speed no matter how hard you press the pedal. The bobbin thread is too difficult to thread through the hole next to the sewing foot, but after a good 5 minutes of fiddling I was able to thread it through. People should be aware that this is NOT a heavy duty machine and your needles/thread will get stuck if you are not careful. The outside is plastic and I suspect some of the inside is too, but I digress as you shouldn't expect more given the affordable price. As a beginner I didn't want to spend too much money on a machine in case I found out I hate sewing so it's definitely a safer investment for those who
