So my cat loses her collar. Sometimes 2 a month. I went to PetSmart and bought detachable collars and an engraved tag. The problem was the cost - $10 for the collar and another $10 for the tag. Paying $20 each to protect Mr. Kitty seemed a bit pricey. So (as always) I went to Revain and found these Breakaway Collars. Wow. 18 collars for $12. Then I started looking for tags. You can order engraved ones but they are too expensive so I decided to do this work myself. I found pre-drilled discs and an engraver. The engraver is $15 and the discs are $12. You can see the finished engraved product on Mr. Kitty. The phone number is on the back. He's already lost 2, but that's no problem - I've got 16 left! The total cost of the collar is $1.67 each. Of course that's more than the $20 I paid! Btw the reviews on these collars are pretty mixed but I see people saying they don't release collars. Garbage. They deliver great but I found the pressure needed to be a little higher than I wanted. SO. I just took my new engraving tool which includes grinders and ground the teeth a bit until I was happy with the fit. super easy.
