I've been using this diffuser for a month and so far so good. No problems, no leaks, nothing suspicious other than what's in the aquarium! Requires a C02 pipe (not standard air hose) to connect to the diffuser (and a check valve is also recommended) but works great, nice little bubbles. At first I had to increase the flow a bit after turning it on for the first time in the morning to get a stable spread, but now it's getting strong. Comes with 2 suction cups to help keep it in place underwater, but even in a corner I can only get one to stick. No problem, it's safe. The small U-shaped glass element in the second picture is for rimless tanks, which I don't have, so I didn't use it. It's basically the same as the Air Pump Air Stone, only for C02! I would recommend this device as a first diffuser for anyone looking to get into C02. It is relatively inexpensive compared to many expensive models. You need a C02 pipe, a diffuser and a C02 canister. I bought the 3 parts I needed here at Revain and got the tank from my local beer store. The total cost was less than $200. I watched a few youtube videos to familiarize myself with the different parts and what would be a good way to learn about this aspect of planted aquariums. The good news is, if a noob like me can do it, so can you!
