The CO2 hose keeps popping out of this defuser as if creating too much back pressure. I've tried various GPS counters to try and prevent this, but no matter what I do, it pops up multiple times a day. Have used several other CO2 diffusers but none of them have broken after two days of CO2 injection. The water conditions were ideal for the Discus: 50 gallon tank, pH 6.6, 30ppm CO2 at fairly moderate pressure. However, in the morning I found a broken funnel. I've been using this diffuser for a month and so far so good. No problems, no leaks, nothing suspicious other than what's in the aquarium! Requires a C02 pipe (not standard air hose) to connect to the diffuser (and a check valve is also recommended) but works great, nice little bubbles. This amazing diffuser. I left it in my aquarium for a full 24 hours before hooking it up to CO2. Thousands of tiny globules flow out of it as it works. I have tried several other diffusers but this one creates the smallest bubbles in the largest volume that I have personally used. Produces a very nice fine mist of CO2 which I find dissipates most in water before reaching the surface. Some people say it only bubbles on part of the surface, which applies to me, but my CO2 isn't that high, maybe 4 bubbles per second in my 55 gallons. at least.
