I bought this to replace a Chinese USB audio adapter that was making a hissing noise in the background. Kepulu is much better - no hiss. It was just plug and play (although I had to plug it in a few times before Windows actually recognized the device). Headphone audio output was ok, not the best, but it sounded a bit muffled to me. Compared to my laptop's built-in sound card, Kepulu definitely sounded muffled. The microphone input was also easy to use. Note, however, that the level must be set to 100% for the microphone to pick up sound. If anything is less than 100%, it was barely audible.
